Brandon Webb is a former U.S. Navy SEAL with combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. His proudest accomplishment in the US Military was his role as Course Manager for the elite US Navy SEAL Sniper program. This is arguably one of the best and hardest sniper qualification courses in the world.
Webb has received numerous distinguished service awards throughout his career including the Presidential Unit Citation (personally given to him by President George W. Bush) awarded to his SEAL platoon after their Sept 11th, 2001 deployment to Afghanistan.
After a brief stint working for a three letter US Intelligence agency overseas, Webb decided to pursue entrepreneurship and writing. He has since founded and been involved in several successful business ventures.
Webb is often been featured in the media as a subject matter expert and recently appeared in a NATGEO TV special titled Hunting Pirates which is airing regularly. He is the Editor of Military.com’s Kit Up blog, co-author of The 21st Century Sniper, (Skyhorse Publishing) and his memoir, The Red Circle (St. Martin’s Press) is scheduled for release April 10th, 2011.
Webb enjoys speaking with professional organizations about leadership and the dedication and drive it takes to make it through one of the toughest training programs for Special Operations in the world.
An avid surfer, he is a member of the legendary WINDanSEA surf club, is an avid free diver, private pilot and open ocean swimmer. When he’s not in the water or airborne, he resides in La Jolla, California.
